Who is Hafiz Rilwan from Weligama

Let me introduce you to Hafiz Rilwan, from Weligama a city in down south of Sri Lanka. Following are some praiseworthy accomplishments which I believe are not something easy to think of.

1. He was the first Alim to lead Taraweeh on 27th night of Ramadhan by reciting the whole Quran single handed untill the time of Fajr!! (Took place at Dewatagaha Shaykh Usman Waliullah masjid in Colombo 7)

2. There were Six Huffaz kept to check for mistakes while he was leading the Full Quran tharaweeh as said above and none found no mistakes.

3. While conducting the above Taraweeh, He used to have Saline Water only.

4. He has a special talent of reciting the Quran from bottom to top which we can't do even for WAL ASRI SURA.(That was a light Joke ok.  😀 )..

5. He has done the above said Taraweeh Jama multiple times in a single Taraweeh sessions even in later years.

6. He told me that he has recited the complete Quran within 7 hours at one sitting.

7. He has recited the entire Quran also within the 4 Rakaths of Isha prayer!!!!

8. At the time he led his full Quran tharaweeh, he had recited the whole Quran more than Thousand times.

9. He used to recite 10 Juzu a day and his beloved Mother used to listen and check everyday to sharpen his talent maashaallah.

10. Once He recited as follows in a prayer,  in the First Rakath Sura Bakara second Rakath Sura Aala Imran were fully recited. Third Rakath Nisaa and Fourth Maaidhaa were recited.

Finall, my good friend Musnad Sufian Al Misthafawi Al Qadiri hazrath was the one who was with him in his preparation  for this feat (පාඩම් ගන්න). 

He questioned him in tricky ways on the Quran and he answered clearly. If a word in the Quran was mentioned, he will say this word is in such and such Sura at this number of Aayath, and repeated in these these Aayath.

MaashaAllah, He continues to teach other young Hafiz ul Quran students and trains them to acheive such great heights. He is at the moment the imam of the Kaluwella Meera Shahul Hameed masjid of Galle.
